Erf is a parallel universe version of Earth. Everything that has happened in your life up until the start of the game has happened to your character, who is you. In a way, you are your own backstory. Call on stories from your own past to apply advantages, solve puzzles, and defeat villains of the worlds you visit. 

You and your friends sit down to play a TTRPG. You’re just starting to roll characters when you witness the cataclysm, a universe-wide event that saw multiple planets appear in your solar system. The Game Master of your TTRPG receives an urgent phone call. It’s the world governments. Your Game Master has just been appointed the President of Erf, and they need to send a party of adventurers to discover the secrets of the cataclysm. With all of Erf’s budget at their disposal, they send your party into the cosmos to discover the secrets and save Erf from the mysteries that await. 

This rulebook explains how to be a President or a player in the game. The President will find methods to introduce whatever IPs the Players are interested in, in a balanced way. The party can discover fun gameplay mechanics, like the Rule of Cool Token, the Uppraise roll, and the ability to recruit Roster characters and pets. 

It’s been crafted for people completely new to TTRPGs in mind, making it very easy to pick up. Fully illustrated by our amazing team of artists, this book has everything you need to plot out your own campaign and play through every session.

Resolution is fast and simple. Every roll in the game is a d20. If the roll is 11 or higher, you pass; otherwise, you don’t. There are modifiers in the form of Advantage and Disadvantage Tokens that hurt or help your chances of any given roll. 

In addition, there is a litany of other interesting game mechanics, such as Deus Ex: The Musical, Roster Character Abilities, and a customizable ship for traveling between worlds. All explained thoroughly in this book. 

The Public Domain Adventure is a 3-shot campaign that takes your party through a quest set up by our in-house President, Thomas. We use IPs found exclusively in the Public Domain, specifically the Greek Pantheon, Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book, and Bram Stoker’s Dracula. This provides a fun, quick introduction and a blueprint for your own campaigns, where you can use whatever IP tickles your fancy.
